When was the last time you had a bottle of wine with a cork stopper?

Me? Unless it was a bottle of Home Made, I really can't remember

This week. Approximately half the wine I get still has cork, but I get mine from Naked Wines so maybe thats because they use smaller producers

Much prefer screw tops.

For short lived wines there is no doubt they give a more consistant product. The jury is still out on wines to be laid down because there is not the long term data. My response is that if you buy a wine to store for 25 years (and I'm looking at my wine ponce brother here) you deserve everything you get.

2 days ago. There's still loads about.
Apparently the Iberian lynx depends on them - their habitat is the cork oak woodlands from which they are harvested. The cork, i.e. the bark, is removed and regrows.

Last week in Italy. Most of the wines for sale had corks.

Unfortunately we hadn't foreseen that, and ended up having to use nail scissors to extricate one (it was an emergency )
