We need more. What had he been up to? Did he try to do a load of dips on the seat backs or squat thrusts when they were getting him off? Did he still have that curly perm?

No idea to be honest! It must have been shortly after 9/11 and the rumour going round the plane was that he'd made a gag at security about having a bomb.

Edit: I remember now though that when he sat down, he pulled out a penknife and started cutting his nails with it - maybe one of the cabin crew spotted him and reported that to the police.

Apparently, he runs his own hotel in Thailand now where he performs magic tricks of an evening!

He's a tad quiet. I see them every time they are in the area. I have all of the albums and CDs. I've surprised them by turning up at gigs of theirs outside of their home territory of Leeds and environs.

Len has been seriously wasted when in my company over the past thirty odd years.

They are all great blokes.
