I wonder how many people know that New Orleans was named after Orleans, my birth town?

I would think that many people would know that, the clue is in the names.

I was born in Elgin, and lived there for all of two weeks before we moved.

Aye laddie, up the Mantson Road towards the airport.

Never lived there, soon after went to Shetland until my early teens (then Bucks with my Ma when my parents split, then the Army, back to Shetland, met a girl, back to Bucks, divorced, up the road to Northants), but still proud to be a Man of Kent by an accident of birth.

Shetland is the closest thing to a homeland I ever knew, having spent my childhood formative years there. I can still switch seamlessly between the Northern Isle Scottish and English accents. When my youngest ends primary school I'll be returning.
