Not sure which section to post this.
Thought about 'pets' but it refused to obey me.
Thought about 'food and drink' but don't reall fancy eating it.
So, here it is....a nice Red Admiral. It allowed me to get quite close for this photo.

I went down just about 9.30 last night to lock up and as i opened the fridge door something caught my eye outside on closer inspection through the door glass there was a large Hedgehog scurrying between and around the various plant pots we have on the patio , he had rather a lot of what i would say was nesting material in his mouth , amazing to see as we use to get quite a regular visitor a few years ago but have never seen them only just traces of them ie poo .

No pictures i am afraid as he was the far side of the pots so couldn't get one clearly enough

Probable Hobby this morning in full flight.
Slim'ish wings outstetched, , long tail, not fanned, very pale undersides, wings, body and tail, no obvious barring on the tail (certainly no dark / obvious barring)

Seen them a few times at Rutland water, hovering, flitting around on a crest of land, probably picking up insects as they rose.

All IDs correct, well done. The Lesser Black Backed Gull photo is particularly nice

A change of home so a new feeding location, the resident birds here have quickly gotten used to the new source of food.

Not too many pics yet but I like this one of a regular to the garden.
