200Kg, that's about 450 lbs in old money on two tyres, That is a lot of weight (225 lbs) on each tire, could that be contributory? Although you did say your latest outing was sans load. As another said, wider tyres but as you also said, your bike can't take wider than 32's.
The only riders I know around here (actually just one pair now but there used to be three pairs some years ago) are all average (ish) weight and height and they do not appear to have much difficulty with tyres.
I wonder if it would be possible to build a tandem with two wheels at the back, sort of like the army lorries we used to see around.
In any case, with all the mileage you have put in on your tours, I cannot imagine anyone would have more experience than yourselves with changing tyres on the fly - so to speak, so just riding on and dealing with stuff seems to be the best approach on your new adventure.
When we were touring Spain and Morrocco with our two children, we got so fed up with the touring holiday we had to stop and camp for a while at Estepona for a holiday away from the holiday.
Enjoy.

But then on the way back I was riding at the edge and forgot the path narrowed round a partial barrier.

Which resulted in a bruised shoulder thankfully not broken bones or bike!

Weather ok ✔️ weekend ✔️, family commitments ✔️, first ride of the year to Dent ✔️. I love Dentdale but it’s not a winter destination so when today started sunny and dry I took my chance. The outward journey took me to Wennington and Ingleton before the long and beautiful climb through Kingsdale with its gated road. I’d brought a flask which I enjoyed watching a pair of buzzards, they’ve been in this area for years, most likely the same pair. There were patches of snow on the highest fells but the main hazards were streams running down the roads, especially the very steep descent to Dentdale. Dent was quite busy with runners getting ready for the annual Dent run. Fortified with Fruitcake and cheese I climbed the steep Gawthrop road before the long descent through Barbondale. Normally, this is a wonderful freewheel but a headwind kept me honest. By the time I reached Kirby Lonsdale I found myself being battered by hailstones! Home against the wind after another great ride. 89 km with 1213 m of climbing.

Pictures are of Ingleborough with snow on top, the top of Kingsdale and the waterfall in Dentdale.

Got out today North out of Ely to Welney,Outwell,Downham Mkt and back via Denver to Ely.
Only stopped at Downham Mkt for a snack at Mabels Bakery so no pics.
Saw a Kestrel (first one for a while) and the Swans were in the fields near Welney, also a dead Badger.
Around 80k so getting some decent distances in now :okay:

Another boring 70 mile ride today, same old trail, same old scenes, same old everything including wind, sun, and a few egrets and peacocks. Nothing to report. I'd ride the dales but it costs a fortune to fly there, not to mention having to box up the bike, driving to the airport, hauling the bike box into the terminal from the outlying parking lot, waiting for security checks, waiting to board the plane, 11 hours sitting in a confining seat, dragging the bike box out of the special oversized storage at the other end, shuffling over to the tube, transfer to the train station, wheeling the box at the end to the hotel through streets both broad and narrow, unboxing the bike, assembling it, noticing what still sits on the floor at home, organise route sheets, recover from jet lag, get the bike and its load onto the street the next morning, look behind to see if any drivers are enhanced with their phones and not paying attention to me, ride off.
Going on hiking back-packing trips is so much easier.

As long as I breathe, I attack.
just a quick sunny ride , or so i thought !
set off in bright sunshine so took the summer bike and by the time i had done 4 miles it was hailing so i had to hide under some trees till it died down . Of course the roads were soaked so i got a wet bum :cursing:
As i continued to ride it dried out and by the time i got home you would never know but apparently they didnt even have a drop of rain ........

Out for a 50km café run with the OH, found local roads busy with the Border Counties Rally, just a bit of engine noise 😀

First road bike ride of the year. I'd fitted new brake blocks to my Cannondale Synapse this week and a test ride beckoned. Just 11.5 hilly local miles, but with nearly a thousand feet of climbing, on a sunny but fresh breezed day. I headed up to Morley and Windmill via a brake bedding in decent of the Slack bank. Then back home via High Lands, Low Lands and Cockfield. Pond near Morley.

The oddly named hamlet (?) of Windmill has a millenium seat.

I don't think the bus is going to turn up.
