Anyone done the 6 week FTP Builder plan on Zwift?

Wendy is on week 2 of it and wondered how others had found it.

I did it at the beginning of 2023. I think I found the first couple of weeks OK but then I found it hard to complete some of the workouts.
(You can dial down the power requirements slightly).

I stuck with it and finished it, but I've never done another structured program since. I found it too restrictive of my other activities having so much programmed activity. I think it was four sessions per week or something?

Did it build my FTP? Maybe a little. Certainly not a lot. Mind you FTP tests are a pile of poo anyway, so who even knows?

I know lots of people who have done it over the years, and for the vast majority it works really well

Thanks chaps.

I'm hoping she gets the "early gains" that any structure normally gives.

Don't want her getting too good though ...............

That's EXACTLY the reason the FTP Ramp tests don't work for me. It depends on what anaerobic mood I'm in on the day

Generally during the year I will try to do at least one long race or ride per week to work on the long power. I do find the points races the most fun though.

Well that went much better than expected. In the end I was forecast to come in the bottom third. There were 72 starters so I aimed for the top half - 35th or better.
In the end I finished 5th on the road and 5th on ZP which was a surprise - nearly killed me though ^_^

Didn't do much to my ZR score, raised it by 6. Will see what it does to my Velo score.

Vid if anyone wants to hear me dying at the end ^_^

Whenever I get decent results in ZRS, I'm often sceptical about how many opponents stronger on paper were sandbagging their effort, to try and get a ZRS reduction or not get too much of an increase for event(s) they really are interested in.

ZRS score manipulation is rife.
