Anyone done the 6 week FTP Builder plan on Zwift?

Wendy is on week 2 of it and wondered how others had found it.

I did it at the beginning of 2023. I think I found the first couple of weeks OK but then I found it hard to complete some of the workouts.
(You can dial down the power requirements slightly).

I stuck with it and finished it, but I've never done another structured program since. I found it too restrictive of my other activities having so much programmed activity. I think it was four sessions per week or something?

Did it build my FTP? Maybe a little. Certainly not a lot. Mind you FTP tests are a pile of poo anyway, so who even knows?

I know lots of people who have done it over the years, and for the vast majority it works really well

Thanks chaps.

I'm hoping she gets the "early gains" that any structure normally gives.

Don't want her getting too good though ...............

Well that went much better than expected. In the end I was forecast to come in the bottom third. There were 72 starters so I aimed for the top half - 35th or better.
In the end I finished 5th on the road and 5th on ZP which was a surprise - nearly killed me though ^_^

Didn't do much to my ZR score, raised it by 6. Will see what it does to my Velo score.

Vid if anyone wants to hear me dying at the end ^_^

Spent another two and a half hours riding round New York on a TT bike this afternoon but finally got the upgrade. Hope it was worth the effort! Got to admit I'm not really a fan of ever doing this sort of thing again as without draft you can't really interact with other riders and TT bikes are banned from most events, so you might as well be cycling offline. Ended up splitting my session into two blocks with a few hours between them because it was so boring.

Did manage to score an orange lap jersey (briefly) on the Times Square loop however. Noticed that everyone was doing the Reverse loop (mainly because it's on the Spinfinity course) and hardly anyone was doing the forward equivalent. Ended up coming 3rd on my first attempt, so really went for it second time around and halfway round the lap found myself in the orange jersey anyway because the two previous fastest times had disappeared from the board. Then as I entered the final section, someone set a faster time and took it back off me, but my ETA was lower still and so with a finishing sprint I made sure that I won it for real. Only lasted for another few minutes before someone else took it off me, but I had my moment of glory!
