You can do that in UK as well assuming you mean in a supermarket. But no big signs because it’s the norm.

No such problem now... I was there today and the door locks now have contactless card readers!
In the case of RHB... 40 p! At least for that you get clean facilities that are looked after properly.

I saw a busker with one a few weeks ago... set up in her hat with a sign saying it's been set to take a £1 contactless donation. What is the world coming to!

Yeah, I'm sure it does, unfortunately though it still doesn't mean I'd be scanning my card for a busker.
I know its a pity for the honest people out there, but really?

I imagine it's a big difference for the busker; they'd have to pay a percentage to the company.

I see it as a huge difference, mostly for my own benefit but I don't suppose there is much personal risk for me should someone clone the coin I throw in a hat.

If someone's going to clone your cash card with a contactless card reader, it'll just as likely be anyone in any shop that uses them. Not sure if it's even possible.
