Problem with that quad is the chain / derailleur dragging in the snow.
Short cage derailleur fitted since that was taken.
Seldom get enough snow for that to be a problem nowadays though.
 
Nice with the sun out today, chilly in the shade though.

I used to love to ride on frosty mornings, but a couple of painful, shoulder-damaging tumbles over the past couple of years on unsighted slippery patches has cured me of that. I don't bounce like I used to. Nevertheless I braved the risks to capture this wintery image on a lane near Wartling, East Sussex.
I can relate. I was recently the recipient of a mild shoulder separation, aka AC joint sprain. a cpl inches of fresh powder compacted in my tread rendering my studs irrelevant. normally I'm moving slowly in these conditions but I was just picking up speed down a hill at about 10mph. the worst of it is, I knew better :cursing:
