Northern Rail have a flash 10 pence ticket sale on. Limited routes and dates, but I’ve just managed to book a day trip from Nottingham to Harrogate for myself and MrsR for the grand total of 40p return!

Seems like some people think that if it's on the 'bay then it must be cheap, one example is a Lifeline 600ml Waterbottle. Brand new on the Wiggle site it is £2.49 inc P&P, but some knucklehead has bid £0.99 + £2.99 P&P so a of total £3.98 You couldn't make it up!

These arrived today. New grips for my £30 Dawes mtb. Seem well made and good value at £2.50. Postage was £2 - nearly as much as the grips. Got a new saddle coming too, so I'll have nearly spent as much as the bike cost soon.

Edit: Quick review - fitted these on the mtb yesterday. Went on easily enough with a bit of pressure, though the end caps won't seem to stay in on one side. Only had a quick go down the street, but are a big improvement on the straight grips that came with the bike. Very comfy, good fit for my hands and a bargain at £2.50 (reduced from a tenner).
