Also thought that credit cards would be safe but found out that they only cover single items over £100, a much safer way is paypal.

I’ve never had an issue with Chargeback via credit card, also under £100, while I did have PayPal refuse a refund for an item an eBay scammer never sent. You‘re referring specifically to section 75 not Chargeback

Can use PayPal if prefer

Well, encouraged by the comments of EltonFrog and Ajax Bay, I've just set the stand up and had a little fettle with my bike (been off the bike for a while following surgery, and did need to make a start getting it ready again; no better excuse than a new toy to play with!).

It's a great buy at £19.99. I felt that it was probably a bit clunkier and heavier than a posh one might be, although had no experience of these to compare it to.

Anyway, there were a few left at Aldi Maghull (Liverpool, by Swithch Island) a couple of days ago if anyone locally was interested.

Good morning,

It was like dealing with the old Ribble, that is a good thing in my mind.^_^

You order something, it arrives the day after next and you are wondering if it will be trade packaged, wrapped in bubble wrap or something has gone terribly wrong and it has come in retail packaging.:laugh::laugh::laugh:

In this case it was loose bubble wrapped, clearly new and unused and possibly supplied to them loose in a box of say 10 or 20.

Although in the recent past there have been reports of slow deliveries from Ribble in this case it arrived on a Tuesday, a few days after being ordered on the weekend.

The impulse frame purchase is slowly becoming a great commuter.

The tyres are Planet X Mile Munchers, tyres that almost nobody seems to review, https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/TYPAJBMM/jack-brown-mile-muncher-700c-folding-tyre

Although not as durable as the name might suggest, around 3,000 (edit from 2,000) miles on the rear, they are light and feel fun. Like a lot of Planet X stuff they vary in price, at £25 they are fine, but there are often On Sale at around £12-£16 and then they are a real bargain.

When I first saw them they looked homemade as the tread looks like it is glued onto the body, but they have performed flawlessly.

Bye

Ian
