DCLane

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...

Nice but I can't see whether this comes with a rear mech hanger or not - the photo shows it without

I'll never get into this, and it may possibly have an inflated original price:

These sound (numerically) to be a bargain but do seem curious in the extreme (one size fits all and I could find no reviews of them anywhere, even on chain reaction) - against my better judgement have ordered a pair - may be handy with my esteemed M&S cycling chinos.

Thanks for the tip. I like Polaris, no nonsense stuff, but do find their sizing on tops confusing - i have 2 that look the same size but aren't labelled as such.

Did they go through some sort of labelling crisis/vision?

Anyone got any tips?

I tend to think of myself as very much a medium build, but such is the oddity of cycling sizing tend to need a large top, in Endura and Altura for sure. Italian sizing is of course something else.

Advice welcomed.

Polaris bike wear are having a flash sale on some roadie stuff. Just ordered 2 pairs of short for£6.99 each.

Also ordered these before really nice and good fit http://www.polaris-bikewear.co.uk/Venom-Scale-Road-Cycling-Jersey-p/pol01-5401-p.htm
Sent some of their cheap shorts back, found the pad was to narrow for me and sen them back for some with a wider pad , the pad edge was rubbing on the saddle.

I've had issues with their bibshorts too - got a pair in the last promotion and while they were an excellent fit around the shoulders, waist and upper thighs, the lower thighs were oddly baggy, to the point where the "gripper" bit didn't grip (and no-one has ever described my thighs as skinny...). Had to send them back.

The pair they sent with the wider pad had larger fit for the same size, luckily i have legs more like Kittel than froome , genetics rather than gym i must add.

Bank holiday bargains on the Halfords website:

Lots of bikes with 20% off - some deals are better than others, but the offer does include many of the 2016 range of Boardman bikes - like the excellent Road Pro Carbon reduced to £1200 ;)
Also 20% off all Boardman jerseys and jackets (including the new range)
And they also have 3 for 2 on hydration tablets & powders and on Muc-Off cleaning products

And don't forget that British Cycling members also get another 10% discount on the reduced prices :okay:

so you'd ridden in them and they still accepted them as a return?

I thought they had to still have all tags and packing on and that essentially you could try them on but not use.

I did order two pairs of those cheapo shorts earlier this afternoon - hopefully I am built differently from you.

i bought 2 pairs and officially i had to keep the pair i had ridden in and send one pair back .They should have sent me one pair of the better shorts which worked out about the same price as the 2 cheaper ones so i was happy enough .They sent two pairs so i am quids in .The adventure shorts i sent back were on sale at £12.99 at the time and they sent the omnium gel shorts as a replacement.

How are the omnium? Am restocking on the lycra at the moment and £18:seemed like a good price so also bought some of those. My older ones are Pearl Izumi at something between £40 and £60.
