I got a Topeak Super Tourist disc compatible rack for the princely sum of £5.25 from Evans last week. They do have some decent bargains on racks at the moment (not all seem to come with mounting arms so check pics carefully if buying; mine came with them though): https://www.evanscycles.com/offers/...ers-and-car-racks-category?sort=price_inc_vat.

Am I right in thinking that these two will work together:

https://www.evanscycles.com/tortec-rack-fittings-EV168865
https://www.evanscycles.com/tortec-tour-ultralite-rear-rack-ex-demo-ex-display-EV332410

The mounts say not for the ‘Tour’ but this is the Tour Ultralite and they are both 10mm rather than the 8mm of the tour?

A full rack for under a tenner.

TBH, I'd just go for this one instead, as the picture shows it comes with mounting arms (I've bought a fair bit of stuff from the Evans ex-demo pages, and generally the pictures are accurate). https://www.evanscycles.com/tortec-tour-ultralite-rear-rack-ex-demo-EV332456

I must admit that I have no idea what these are.

Not normal V brake pads?

But if they fit your bike it rather looks like you'll have enough pads to see you out.

I have used this outfit for brake blocks and bits since discobrakes put their prices up - find the stuff OK.

And have used Fibrax for brake and gear stuff before - perfectly decent stuff as far as I can tell.

You need to go to the ex display section and search all accessories by lowest price.
Here is a link to a tortec disc specific rack they have
https://www.evanscycles.com/topeak-super-tourist-dx-disc-rack-ex-demo-ex-display-EV332406
The description does say something to the effect "you get what is in the pictures", and the picture doesn't feature any fittings. Which of true you will need some m5? bolts and these https://www.evanscycles.com/tortec-...K5AByIW9J9mvSSs0Z1SNif7qjJgyjS3IaAnqREALw_wcB for £4

My finger's hovering over the checkout button and I'm finding it hard to resist ....

Thanks for flagging that code.

Never bought Polaris before. How's the sizing and fit generally?

Was looking at these https://www.polaris-bikewear.co.uk/Bikeze-Multi-Sport-Cycling-Tight-p/pol01-1008-p.htm
and maybe a jacket (this maybe https://www.polaris-bikewear.co.uk/Tornado-Windproof-Road-Cycling-Jacket-p/pol01-5498-p.htm)

Thanks again.

I picked up two packable rain jackets last year and they came up large. So much they are really to big for me. I ordered medium like I do with most cycle clothing.

I've found the sizing true enough. I'm between a medium and large in most cycle gear but took a risk with an XL Polaris Thermal Jersey in the last sale. Much too big and the fit in relaxed as it is.

Another code which always seems to work on their site is 'FREESHIP', good for bigger orders, but I see that doesn't work alongside the 20%.

Hmm, I was looking on their website only the other day, and I am sure they have upped their prices by about 20%. Similar to what Planet X do.

Yea. I bought the thermal jersey a few weeks back for £10, it is now £25 in the outlet. The arm warmers I bought for £3 are up to £9.
