If it's not too late may, I sign up please?

EDIT: I'll likely be doing the return leg to Norf Lundun with Aperitif.
This is a 'Genteel' ride Abs...you sure?Actually, you can play 'going up hills' with big Martin as practice! You should get up a nice 'Turner's Peed'.

Crikey this is tempting - Im driving down to Brighton early hours of the 24th anyway... Suppose you lot will be gone by then? (10ish)
Now only if I can get the misses to drive so I can go ahead on the train.... hmmmm.....

Having said that, if you don't register for this one, you'll find yourself on my top secret 'flirt' list with Spire and Ben L.
Abs - you're on the list.
I'm not surprised you're up for the return trip, being as you're related to the Great Explorer................who, having joined the pantheon of my boyhood heroes, breathed his last in Brighton....
Yay!
Ah yes Sir Douglas Mawson, Antarctic explorer and companion of Shackleton on his ill fated well told trip. His ancestry is difficult to trace due to his parents emigration to Australia but there is a chance he's a removed relative.

Was he a companion of Shackleton? I thought he led his own expedition.Yay!

Shackleton was a complete arse, by the way. One of my least favourite people in all of history, along with Perkin Warbeck and George Lansbury. I'm afraid that every time one of those ghastly biopics appears on the telly I fly off in to a fearful bate and have to be prevented from throwing things at the screen.
EDIT : On a serious note I've not "gone the distance" so to speak but I'm sure that'll cope.
I've yet to do a cycle ride further than 50 miles......
Bit confused though, we leave HPC at midnight and get to Brighton at 8?? I know it's genteel......
