Picked up the Saddle bag Toolkit £4.99 bargain for emergency use. Each item contained within sealed in resealable bags. Got some gloves but they reflect the £2.99 price unlike the Toolkit.

£11.99 panniers for me to replace the ones I got 2 years ago. OK for commuter duties.

Gilet looks OK for the cash.

I like the kit Aldi sell for some strange reason.

It was extra fun for me becasue Mrs Skud does not normally shop in places like that,it was only me wanting to get shoes that made her come in.Before i knew it she had gone to the front of store, put a quid in a trolley and went on her first Lidl shopping spree !!!! Nearly filled the trolley with goodies Ha,Ha !!!

Well she is Southern.....and Indian.....made my day no end even with monster tooth ache !!!!

I bought the white short sleeve top. Reading that sizes are generous I went for the large, it's erm a bit skinny fit, are they meant to be like that? Almost Lycra like? For the money it's a good shirt.

The waterproof trousers are good too.

A friend up in Scotland got me a gilet this morning. I then went to the Morden store after work and got some tights and socks (I don't expect the bottoms to fit). They had mainly clothing left, didn't see shoes, would have had some mitts but all gone.

Then spent £40 on food (did need to go shopping  ), didn't realise they don't take credit cards  Must be 15 years since I went to a Lidl or indeed Aldi

Went to my local Lidl bright and early, got myself some gloves, the full zip jersey, some shorts, the saddle tool kit and the lights. Spent a while considering the shoes but eventually decided that they are too hideous despite the cheap price and that I would rather spend a bit more on better looking shoes.

The tool kit is excellent for the money and so is the jersey. You can't complain about the gloves for £3, they do the job and have a reasonable amount of padding. The halogen light seems pretty good, just took it for a test run and combined with a cheap Argos LED, it lights up the country lanes pretty well - which means I can now commute when working late shifts.

The shorts had a bit of a funny fit so returned them earlier this evening - most of the stuff at Eastleigh has gone. Glad I set the alarm this morning!

So glad I read this thread yesterday. Got several pairs of socks, several pairs of gloves, a lock, new helmet, one jersey and one gilet........all for the princely sum of £52! All of it looks great value too.

Picked up a couple of pairs of gloves, at only £3 a time I don't think you can go that far wrong with them. Wasn't going to bother with anything else but did take a pair of the waterproof trousers, they seem quite good, nice and lightweight, though who knows what they'll be like in the rain.

Wanted to see what the Gillet was like, and the shoes so went down to Southampton High Street's Lidl today. Couldnt find the Gillet in white or red. They had blue or blue, both in small.

Got the shoes and a track pump. Oh and some batternburg cakes. Nearly bought the pannier bags as backups... mind you I already have 4 (1x Outer Edge 32L, 1x 20L Altura Nightvision, and 2 Vaude front aqua's)

Already have a pump at home, taking the Lidl pump to work tomorrow as it will be handy there. Always being asked if I have a pump. I'm just pleased to see them. ;)

went in my lunch hour for a nose, Bootle Merseyside - place full to the rafters with gear - pumps, shoes, gloves, hats, tool kits, all the clothing, computer, bottles, hoists etc. a few people looking but not a scrum, the stuff is cheap and cheerful and handy for a back up, i was looking at the gloves but thought they were poor quality and the shoes, ok but not for me....going to spend a bit more on some Shimanos..... oh the gillet, the socks and the waterproofish trousers looked ok but i didn't need them - and why is the sizing here and in aldi crap?

Gosh, if I was you I'd give it a miss next time.

went in yesterday 3pm & got gilet & gloves, thought XL gilet was a bit like XXL so pop in after work and lo and behold they have 1 x L left ! so i had that.
Are the pannier (with the detatchable top bit ) set any good? see they come with a waterproof cover , i guess this may be a pain in the ass over time.
