Why is the word borrowed in quotes? Are you suggesting that they haven't really borrowed it?

He was vague in his reply when I asked him if it was his and what he intended to do with it. That's why I doubt(ed) he's borrowed it. Why borrow a motor home then not use it, especially over the nice weather long Easter week-end we've just had. My thoughts are that he's doing a favour for a friend who needed somewhere to dump the horrible thing. You'd think that someone who has a blue badge and knows the parking problems around here would not make the whole disabled parking bay ineffective, but that's how he is. The thing hasn't moved in 3 weeks. He's a hoarder, but he's now affecting others with his hoarding!

Perhaps he was planning on visiting an area north of London that didn't have good easter weather. 9 degrees and chilly where we were and that's not even north of Glasgow. London isn't the whole of Britain. Whatever the weather in London is doesn't mean it's the same everywhere, bloody self centred londoners! 😉

Seriously, what's it to you accy? Do you want to fall out with everyone? 😀

Accy doesn’t live anywhere near London as his Avatar label clearly suggests??:wacko::scratch:

Ask if you can borrow it, tell him you fancy 3 weeks in France in July, and if he watches the T de F coverage he may see, it, you and your dog cheering on the peleton :bravo:

Blue badge holders are not only permitted to park in 'disabled' bays. They can park in many other places too. :okay:

Arrowfoot seems to have expressed an opinion that some (non-physical) disabilities shouldn't count and therefore those sorts of people mustn't be allowed to partake in the blue badge scheme.
As the population ages, the mobility issues increases. The laws and regulations needs to be re-looked at and stringent standard needs to be applied for blue badges to be issued.

I cannot be the only one who sees perfectly mobile and normal individual daintily jumping out of vehicles parked in these bays heading to the stores or the workplace. I am also fully aware of people who quickly provide a link to a news article stating that not at all disabled people show their mobility challenges openly. Does that make sense? Do we need a review? I think so.

We need to protect those who genuinely need it.

The thing with disabilities is there are good days and bad days. On a really bad day, I doubt I'd venture outside, thereby preventing/stopping others seeing what a bad day can be like.

I don't drive, but do qualify for a motability car, and Blue Badge. The downside being I'm not allowed to drive.

indeed, unfortunately there a lot of people with no clue what they are talking about when it comes to hidden disabilities (and indeed many other topics).

Fortunately there is quite a rigorous assessment process for getting one. it isn't infallible, there is undoubtedly some abuse of the scheme and relying on a badge when he person its issued to isn't on board, but on the whole its fine and certainly wouldn't be improved by a review from a internet cycling forum.
