Mine is growing furiously in the back garden as it retains water more, and I fed all the lawns a few weeks ago just as the weather changed a bit (i.e. rain). The front doesn't grow well in dry conditions as it's very free draining (builders rubble). We know this as we dug out all the rubble from the rear garden before laying a lawn over 30 years ago.

I expect mine to grow quickly on the shady side, now it's rained hard, but remain sparse on the sunny ⅔, as it's still quite warm.

Good morning all, looks like a nice day of cloudy sunshine with a high of 17°.

Today’s thing I didn’t realise was that New York is not named after York as I’ve always assumed. As no doubt some of you will know it is named after James, Duke of York, brother of the then King Charles II and subsequently James VII here and James II in England. I wonder how many Jacobite obsessed American visitors to Scotland know of this Jacobite New York connection ?
(The followers of James and his successors were called Jacobites from the latin Jacobus for James, if you didn’t know that already).

Good morning from Suffolk where it's another sunny start to the day. Coffee has been had. All that's to be done today is some food shopping for the week ahead with a deposit to be made at the bottle bank on the way out.

No bin to be emptied today as it's general waste day and there's not enough to cover the black sack of grass clippings from yesterday.
