Actor Frank Thornton invented "posh" chocolates when resting between roles in the early 1970s shortly before landing the role of Captain Peacock in 'Are You Being Served'

Prior to that, chocolate was only available in bars, or in tins at Christmas.

Contrary to popular belief, D.N.A. doesn't stand for deoxyribonucleic acid, but is in fact the acronym for the National Dyslexic Association.

If you cycled round Jupiters equator you would would find yourself repeated hassled by space probes going into orbit around you. Fortunately, this is not nearly as bad as up Uranaus.
Apparently Uranus is very dark and has a strange sulphur like smell around it.

February 4th is Create a Vacumn Day.

Create a Vacuum Day just might leave you in an empty void.

Theory #1: A hard working housewife, frustrated over her vacuuming chores, declared a day to commemorate the chore of vacuuming. The hole in this theory is that the day would likely be simply called "Vacuum Day" or "No Vacuuming Day". Why include the word "Create" in the title? This led us to........

Theory #2: A (mad!?) scientist created this day to celebrate the creation of a vacuum during laboratory. But, isn't this routine scientific work!? We think so. Therefore, it led us to..............

Theory#3: Someone desperately in need of a simpler life, conceived this day. They wanted to create a vacuum that would suck all of the daily work, chores and clutter out of their life. If only for one day, they would be freed to enjoy the simple life of leisure. Now, here's a theory that really makes sense for today!

In space, no-one can hear you clean.

Post of the Day award goes to Northern Dave, with a brilliant effort that must surely be a contender for post of the month. Well done.

Tuesday is, according to international standard ISO 8601, the second day of the week. According to some commonly used calendars, however, especially in the United States, it is the third day of the week.
