kids who say something is "well sick [spelling?]" to mean it is 'really great'.

I love street slang like that and use it all the time. My favorite is 'grimey', as in when my dad asks for an opinion on his new cardigan or something, and I say 'that's well grimey dude!'.

Car advertisement copy in magazines:

"Hey Missing Link!

Turn the page. That's right. Go on. Here at Volvsab we really don't give a monkeys. Keep flicking the pages of this Sunday Supplement and read something else instead. Some dull Gardening thing about wattling or how to bake some neo-peasant apple crumble by Nigel Oliver. You don't know what you're missing. Never will. 0 -600mph in 3.4544 seconds. 78.9898 Mpg. Sat-Nav Brakes, "Power Ranger" Steering, and something for the kids too - A full professional musical editing suite - something to keep the little ones "mixxin"! So walk on by, Clyde - be seeing you at the Wildlife Park!"

get yourself a camera and wage war on the f*ckers! www.barryboys.co.uk. Only too pleased to welcome you. You do know you sometimes get a bite if you post pics on there?, especially if you leave a flyer? Rare, but funny when they do - they get quite wound up :biggrin:

Drivers who exit roundabouts at speed;

Cars;

People;

Drivers who seem to think that I shouldnt be on the road - make it plain in the car-language ie how they pass me then upon protesting the car, but one behind, passes me like I'm not there just to re-inforce the car and 'backup' the tw@t who risked my life in the 1st instance :blush:

Life;

Money;

Holidays;

People who only seems to think eveyone, in this stupid society of ours is stupid...cept themselves..

I can understand all of the above pet peeves, except for holidays. Do you mean Bank Holidays or weeks of annual leave?

BTW I drove :blush: into Worcester yesterday. The final bit of road is very narrow, twisty turny and downhill. The cyclist in front of me was doing 25 miles an hour, the speed limit was 30, but still I got hassle (driving too close, and flashing lights), because I thought it unsafe to overtake the cyclist.

Call me intolerant but I hate anyone in front of me in a queue who insists on paying with the correct money and spends ages getting all the shrapnel out of their purse or wallet.

Does my nut. Just hand over some "notes". I've never had a note that has lasted longer because I didn't break into it.

Sorry if that's anyone here. Just an irrational peeve.

That's me that is, although I'm not quite as bad as your example.

And me often, although 12 years working a checkout have made me fairly swift at counting out coinage.

For me, it would be people who insist on packing it all before paying, even though they are using a card so there will be moments of inactivity while the machine reads it and so on. That and the way cashiers seem to be trained thsees days not to start the next persons stuff through until the last person is fully clear. I mean, you don't want stuff mixed up, I know, but it always makes me feel I have to rush to put my change/cards away/get away from the checkout when they could be starting on the next person's stuff with no problem. It just requires a bit of thought and sense from the cashier....
