I don't do it on beaches, but I do it when decompressing from dives in quarries. It helps pass the time.
My regular dive buddy tends to just shake his head and let me get on with it.
Which quarry are you thinking of ?

Why are Cairns considered "enviromently unfriendly" but stacking rocks isn't.

Did the MLTB Summer training in 94, the building of them, adding to what was already there in some cases, was frowned upon. Why is this any different?

Saw a few at Dunbar beach that would have killed a dog or hurt a kid if they had come down. One was 5ft high with a rock about 6kg on top.

Never heard of it.................and to think I recently found out what others were doing on the canal and marvelled at banality of magnet fishing. Stone stacking...wow. ..........

Magnet fishing is great. You haven't lived until you've found a live hand grenade and watched as the RLC EOD spend an afternoon pouncing about with it.

Three; Dorothea in North Wales, Stoney Cove and Capernwray.
Yeas......done those.
My first dive was at Dorothea.
I did my night training at Capernwray. There is nothing darker than being 10? metres under, with no torchlight at midnight ^_^.
