GrumpyGregry
Here for rides.
I have had several. Many of them quite splendid. Stands up. "My name is GrumpyGregry and I am a petrolholic"I have never had one. I have, somewhat hypocritically, had access to one for the last 27 years though.

Unless the boiler is in there . Garage is partly built into the house - theres a bedroom above it. The car is nicely tucked up in it now, with the hood down. Hood goes up is if it looks like rain when I'm out and stopped, if moving and the general solution is 'go faster'.Also storing your motor in a garage can lead to it sitting in humid conditions for a goodly chunk of the year. At least outside it gets dry when the wind blows and it isn't raining!
The council gave me a sticker to put in my windscreen that says I'm allowed to.Two wrongs don't make a right. Can I park my wardrobes in the street as my bedroom is too small? If not how come you can park your car there?
916 Spider twin spark. Which has since been changed for a 105 Spider Series 3 - a nice side effect is it goes in the garage easier as its narrower.Which model?
Or, from another perspective, driven to distraction by your habit of leaving your property in public spaces the council decided to tax you for doing so. A sort of fine for littering? The council gave me a sticker to put in my windscreen that says I'm allowed to.
It would be a rubbish tax that only collected the amount it cost to administer.Or, from another perspective, driven to distraction by your habit of leaving your property in public spaces the council decided to tax you for doing so. A sort of fine for littering?
Possibly. But hardly the most rubbish thing about on street parking. It would be a rubbish tax that only collected the amount it cost to administer.
To the OP, I think she was looking for sympathy not to be made to look stupid...
And you sound surprised , does anybody use a garage this day and age for putting cars in ????
Actually, insurance companies sometimes raise your premium if you keep your car in a garage because it's more susceptible to accidental damage such as fire or objects falling off of shelves. And you sound surprised , does anybody use a garage this day and age for putting cars in ????

Good to know cheers.Mostly pots of paint, and the occasional paint brush in a jam jar of white spirit.
My bikes are too good for the garage. They share the house with me.Garages are for bikes, period.
