Lack of toilets and distance to them at work. Humiliation at it's highest level.
On the last day of an overseas work trip I had a stomach upset but the toilets were the other side of a swipe card controlled door through which visitors had to be escorted. Unhappy times!

Asking in a pub / restaurant what gluten free options are available (as I'm a Coeliac).

On one occasion when I said I had Coeliac disease the owner said 'it's not really a disease though is it' and then told me that I could have the sausages as they didn't contain much rusk!

If that is their attitude I would wonder how many other "pointless and annoying" little rules they don't bother with
like hygiene for example

Driving down a narrow road and encountering a car coming the other way that zooms past the nearest passing place resulting in us both having to squeeze past one another.

Also, having to reverse back a long way when encountering another car only to find there was a passing point a few metres behind them!

I think part of the problem is that some people go gluten free as a lifestyle choice rather than through necessity (particularly a number of high-profile celebrities) so some places don't understand how serious eating gluten can be to a Coeliac (for me, a complete gastric meltdown for a day or so and then a dodgy and very sore stomach for a couple of weeks).

I used to live in North Wales and there was a back road that was very useful to get round the town (OK city but it was quite small for a city!) and its traffic
it was single track for about 400 yards at one point but local knew all about it
One day I got to nearly the end and a car started coming the other way - so I knew I had 400 yards to reverse round a couple of corners - but they had about 10 yards to reverse to get to an entrance to the reservoir which was very wide
so - clearly - they should reverse

Nope - not gonna happen - they just sat there and waved at me to reverse

wouldn;t open their window so I could explain - just waved at me to reverse

eventually I gave in a reversed - slowly
another car came up behind me near the end and I had to get out and explain to him - he mode some derogatory comments about people who shouldn;t be allowed to drive and we both went on backing up until we got the the golf club entrance

not even a wave of thank you as they drove past

I would have just sat there and waited as long as it took.

My stepdaughter had that a few weeks ago on a narrow lane near Exmoor. She stopped but the woman in a 4x4 coming the other way thought that there was room to pass and drove up a steep grass verge on her side which toppled the 4x4 against the stationary car!

That was bad enough, but then the other driver got out and started screaming abuse... Apparently, it was the stationary vehicle that caused the collision!

Stepdaughter not injured?

No, thankfully, but she found it very traumatic! She had her mum and uncle with her who pacified the psycho woman who caused the collision. The woman's husband in the passenger seat of the 4x4 was keeping a very discrete silence and had a thousand yard stare so he obviously knew what the score was, but thought it better not to say anything...

SD really likes her little car so she was very upset when It got a very good scraping down one side. It even has scrape marks along the roof so I can see that the 4 x 4 was leaning over at quite an angle.

The insurance is taking ages to sort out but fortunately the car is still safe to drive.

Now that I'm retired I might just do that

but at the time I had things like a job and kids and stuff so I didn;t have the luxury of possibly waiting several hours

as an extra - I have come across others like that one - one person said they were not able to reverse because they didn;t know how to!

at one point I was forced (again kids and stuff) to reverse about 1/2 mile up a steep narrow hill with bends only to find the other person would have had to reverse a few yards round a corner - ended up in a cloud of smoke - I think it was the clutch!!!

I'd a driver refuse to back up twenty yards for me, a mere cyclist, on a narrow road.
I knew what was coming up the road, less than a 200 yards behind, with no place to get off the road and not a chance of reversing, a four-wheel drive John Deere with a trailer. Complete with front spike and loader. The car driver soon reversed.

The mid week James Whale tv/radio phone in (on Talk TV) has been moved to 10 till 1 Saturday night, which is the night and time I listen to and jostle between the Alan Beswick radio phone in (on Radio Lancashire) and also watch Match of The Day. Now I have 3 programs I'll have to try to watch and listen to at the same time!
