Replacement brakes from the LBS (Henry Burton) for the Specialized Langster project.
The front calliper has the head on the lateral adjustment bolt seized and the hex head has rounded out. The rear was well seized inot the frame. I'm not sure how I got it out - rounded out the hex head on the securing bolt, but victory was thankfully snatched from the jaws of defeat.
The brakes themselves aren't in great shape either, looking like they've been subject to a lot of road spray.
Going to have to source a pair of wheels at some point. Rear doesn't have much wear indicator left. Front has a Mavic Aksium something or other as a temporary replacement.
And I am wondering how much I trust the fork. Surface corrosion and paint flaking off around the calliper brake bolt hole. I think it will be okay for me to do some kilometres and see whether my knees are still up for riding fixed. Later in the year funds should have replenished sufficiently for me to acquire the wheelset and a replacement fork.
