A Hutchinson 5 Performance tyre. It's the only tyre we can mount / remove from the Parcours wheels without a ridiculous amount of effort.

Not ‘for the bike’….. but for moi:

My first pair of Bib-shorts.Getting off and back on the bike as often as I do for pictures / to stop and absorb the scenery - a couple of my pairs of shorts were beginning to irritate me; with the waist slipping / moving / folding down; or just cutting-in……

A cheapish pair with ok reviews was purchased today (Danish Endurance) with a view to then investing in a couple (?) of decent pairs if I feel comfortable with the concept.

I do get the feeling this could be a ‘turning-point” you’ll never go back from though 🤷‍♂️

Replacement brakes from the LBS (Henry Burton) for the Specialized Langster project.

The front calliper has the head on the lateral adjustment bolt seized and the hex head has rounded out. The rear was well seized inot the frame. I'm not sure how I got it out - rounded out the hex head on the securing bolt, but victory was thankfully snatched from the jaws of defeat.

The brakes themselves aren't in great shape either, looking like they've been subject to a lot of road spray.

Going to have to source a pair of wheels at some point. Rear doesn't have much wear indicator left. Front has a Mavic Aksium something or other as a temporary replacement.

And I am wondering how much I trust the fork. Surface corrosion and paint flaking off around the calliper brake bolt hole. I think it will be okay for me to do some kilometres and see whether my knees are still up for riding fixed. Later in the year funds should have replenished sufficiently for me to acquire the wheelset and a replacement fork.

Not just today. But been buying parts for the GT Vertigo; BMX build. Just need to decide on; and purchase Wheels, Crank and Decals. And get the frame Powder-coated.

Pretty good going so far - considering 10 days ago I had no idea this would happen ;but stumbled across the F+F and decided I fancied another build 😁

Going to be my first bike with a Gyro too. Man - I’m just soooo New School…..🙄

Two of these little plastic widgets

When I have my handlebar bag on there's no room for the lights. These let me mount them on the forks instead.

I'd be worried that those lights are so low to the ground, that they might not be seen.

Maybe you already use one, but I'd supplement those front axle lights with some sort of helmet mounted light, such as...
