Two of these little plastic widgets
https://restrap.com/collections/accessories/products/light-mount

When I have my handlebar bag on there's no room for the lights. These let me mount them on the forks instead.

I'd be worried that those lights are so low to the ground, that they might not be seen.

Maybe you already use one, but I'd supplement those front axle lights with some sort of helmet mounted light, such as...

Yes that is a consideration. I tried putting them higher up on the holes for a bottle cage on the forks. As they're carbon forks the threaded inserts are recessed in a bit (maybe 5mm) and the screws I had weren't long enough. At the moment we don't really need light here in Scotland so there's no rush. I really mostly use them off road anyway.

Thanks.

Bolts in standard sizes (guessing those are M4 or M5) are cheap as chips, like 6 or 7 quid for a 10 pack on ebay.

MTB type SPD power meter pedals for my best bike.

If they don’t work out, can I take them off your hands for say £20 😂

After my little incident with a Mercedes the other day I have got a new rear view mirror

The old one snapped when I was fixing the other bits that got banged out of kilter

Managed to get the same make and model - only £9.99 - bar end thingy

means I have spare bits for anything that might break - except for the bit that actually did break!

DCLane

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
Some bits over the past week:

- An Ultegra triple crankset for the Giant FCR. It'll mean a bottom bracket change but the old Tiagra one's a bit rusty. Inexpensive for what one normally is.
- A track crankset I picked up cheaply. Looks like a lovely Velo Orange copy and is extremely light.
- A pair of Dura-Ace 9001 shifters.
- A Fabric Elite saddle, which will be trialled on the audax bike.
- An unpainted Ridley Fenix fork.
- Some Kranx Stretta Primo bar tape for the Merida Cyclo-Cross.

All uphill

Still rolling along

A seat post for my new Genesis Smithfield.

After years of adjusting seat posts to the nearest 5mm I couldn't get on with the supplied bouncy post that changed my seat height by two or three cm every few seconds.

A thread right here on CC recently; reminded me some of the reason I’ve not ridden my Trek FX3 Hybrid:

……much of late. Being the fact it sometimes feels half a hair short. In terms of seat to bars distance. A quick Google found me this:

And a bit of searching then found me this post (With 26mm setback - being 14mm more than the current stock post)

Which would look like this fitted:

And if I slid the seat back on the rails 5-6mm - I’d basically then have upto a 20mm ‘Setback’ to play with. So duly purchased.

Is it here yet 🤣
