Which rack did you buy and what is your opinion of it? It looks like this one but that seems to get bad reviews?
That's the one. It seems fine to me. It's just a standard bike rack.
The negative review someone left with photos of it all wonkey was left by a genuine idiot. If you screw the bolts in firmly the whole thing is structurally sound. I never use anchor bolts that are supplied with this kind of thing as it depends on what your situation is. I'm not planning on fixing this to the ground or wall.

Personally I'm not using it for security, I'll use the ground anchor and a cable for that. But that said, it is probably easier and quieter to snip a cable than it is to angle grind this stand.

I finally got around to getting a yellow rubber cover for my Garmin after many many years. Now I have one to match each bike.
What a waste of money

Thanks. I do think it's not suitable for my eMTB unfortunately, as the tyres wouldn't fit.
It would indeed be the work of seconds to silently snip the cable. This is what I use through the ground anchor. Try snipping that without hydraulic "jaws of life".

I've had the green one for a long time and not had issues with it and dirt. It just looked wrong when it was on the Felt which has yellow flashes and no green.

Likewise never had an issue, and I much prefer the head unit having that bit of extra protection, and also colour coding ;-)
I rarely off road' as it were, but if it does ger mucky, I just remove the Garmin from the case, give both a good wash/wipe, and let them dry thoroughly before refitting.
For the value of the unit, I think it's money well spent.

My commuter/winter bike headset after circa 14,500 developed play so I took it to the lbs and it was good for about a year but its developed that play again and no amount of fettling seemed to sort it.

So I've ordered some new bearings and that sorts it.

Although I am little worried that although the upper bearing is of the correct dimensions (30.5x41.8x8mm) it doesn't say its 45/45, it just says tapered bicycle bearing. I think 45/45 refers to the inside/outside taper, so fingers crossed 🤞

A cheapo saddle with a cutout to try and alleviate the severe NNS*** that I have been suffering from when using my turbo trainer.

A small frame bag to hold my phone, snacks, cash etc. Tools and spares are in a backpack but it's a nuisance to keep having to ferret around in that for my phone every time that I want to take a photo.
