It's a slippery slope when you start thinking about Hope kit; it is excellent stuff though and I've had no issues at all with the Hope hubs (lost track of how many I have
.
I’ve always admired from afar - but I’m not sure through all my BMX, MTB and now ‘mixed’ riding days; I’ve knowingly owned a single Hope item.
Believe it or not, if finding something on sensible budget, that fitted my eye, came in under weight wasn’t hard enough; Even more difficult was combining all that with something hub-wise that would take QR skewers !
Bike they are currently (?) going on is a Trek 2022-25 model in essence. And was bought new in late 25. I’ve already been told the 1 x 10 gearing is ancient Tech. Now I’m struggling to upgrade the wheels because QR is basically unsupported 😂
Either way - the Hope Pro 5 Hubs I’m getting - apparently take adaptors to go from through axle to QR. And so can be used for both. So perhaps I’ve future proofed them ongoing a bit, made a sale easier if needed, could swap between some of my bikes etc
For me it owning something different to everyone else / Custom made too. It’s not not to look like a clone. And I’m going Polished look with the hubs and raw Stainless spokes. Hopefully they’ll Dazzle in more ways than one.
Thanks for your experiences. I’m sure from reviews, videos, Hope advertising I’ve seen - it’s all quality stuff 👍
