And what happens is that the front tyre was flat this morning. Pumped it back up, but 10 minutes later flat agsin, not riskinga commute on that.

I'll be giving Ride Bike Wales a ring this morning, see what they say.

Having rung them, they will sort it out, they'll have to order in the right tyres, but should be there tomorrow.

Finally got this sorted yesterday (They are not open Sunday or Monday, and I was busy Saturday).

They hadn't managed to get the replacement Pirelli P-zeros delivered, so they fitted Continental GP5000 S TR instead, which are more expensive, but they replaced at no charge.

Nice ride to work on them this morning, my quickest commute of the year, by 1.1mph.

All uphill

Some ripstop bags for my forthcoming tour.

For the last x years I've wrapped spare clothing in supermarket bags, but they have little holes in them, and my Carradice bags are not entirely waterproof.

It will be a treat to have dry clothes after a wet day on the bike (does it rain in the Netherlands?)

I bought these for the bike, 'cos if I'm happy the bike's happy.

OK this make rank as a silly purchase, time will tell. I've been struggling a bit with keeping my water bottles hygienic, a combination of off-road muck and my forgetfulness in cleaning them immediately after a ride. I do pop them in the dishwasher, but muck still seems to build up especially in the cap. So I decided to pick up this bottle sterilizer from the same company that makes my water bottles, Elite. It was only €16, so I figured it was worth a punt, time will tell if that was a good decision.

NITTO handlebars (Very slightly more rise; and 60mm wider) for My Trek FX-3 Hybrid “re-build / turning into the bike I really dreamt off” project.

I’ve had NITTO layback seat-posts on BMX’s before. And low quality lay-back posts often / usually end up bending. NITTO items (And their Cro-Mo BMX bars) have never caused me a problem at all - and are generally revered in the BMX World as being of the highest quality.

I didn’t realise they ventured into Aluminium products. But when I saw they made these in just the size, rise, width etc I was looking for - it was a no-brainer.

Another 250g saved too 😁

Fits well so will see how it works out on a ride.

Should be good and looks neat. I have my Varia mounts zip tied to various saddlebags and they work well even when not perfectly aligned. With my set up the light can rattle against the rack if the bag is empty and of course in long flap mode it points upwards looking for drones.
