A Texas woman was rushed to hospital after accidentally impaling herself on a toilet roll holder.

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/38/20110321/tod-woman-impaled-on-toilet-roll-holder-045b8e8.html

The unnamed woman, 69, fell in her bathroom and pierced her neck on the object, but still managed to call for help.

When Dallas Fire Department arrived on at the scene, they found the victim - still fully conscious - sitting on the toilet with the holder stuck in her neck.

You sure you don't mean toilet brushes???

You have to attribute this to reverse Darwinism...

She should have been wearing a helmet. Same goes for the woman killed by the toilet brush. They should be made compulsory for visiting the loo, it's a dangerous activity.

(Full face with breathing apparatus if entering after I've been there!)

People who know me wont go in if they know I've been there, not for an hour at least.

My ex felt sick in the middle of the night, dashed into her bathroom and promptly passed out. She came round a few minutes later with a nasty cut on the back of her head and half a wash basin lying next to her. She would definitely have been safer wearing a helmet!

Mrs Gti smashed a front tooth on the toilet seat once, she was in such a hurry to raise it and a little sleepy......

My partner  passed out mid pee once (apparently it can happen to men), and went straight over backwards, cutting his head on the skirting board. Loo helmets should be compulsory.

I had really no idea so many accidents could happen in the WC. I must have been lucky to get away with it up until now.

Is there an accepted EU standard for Toilet Helmets? I want to buy one that meets current guidelines...

I started to consider the concepts 'toilet' and 'helmet' together but I got all flushed* and had to abandon the exercise

*i promised myself I'd never get caught up in one of these cycle chat pun-a-thons...<sigh>

It's enough to drive you round the bend Kirstie - but don't worry, it's all good training for riding Leicester- London next month with the 'select', on yet another Adam's Amazing Adventure!

I'm just wondering if Armitage Shanks would like to buy my patented design of padded sink, bath and toilet bowls.
