Not seen any wood burners driving to school lately.
Either too young to drive, or too old for school. Not seen any wood burners driving to school lately.
I am surprised you lot do not feel guilty using electricity that you do not need to.
I never realised you were Scottish.Solar and wind power self sufficient.

No need to be off the grid up here to only use renewables. No generator? A good friend of ours only 2 miles from here is off grid in a new build, he does have a back up gennie for the batteries.
There was an unintentionally funny local news item (is that tautological?) a few years ago from a very cross man who got stuck in a traffic jam, whilst driving the four miles to the gym... probably to sit on a static bike in a spin class...
There's a simple answer to that, reduced visibility due to the smoke they are emitting. Not seen any wood burners driving to school lately.

Wood burners do log quite a few miles each year though.
Their heavy smoking does them no favours. There's a simple answer to that, reduced visibility due to the smoke they are emitting.
Totally off topic but a car can run on charcoal. It was done in some places (from memory, can't remember all the details off the top of my head) in WWII by burning charcoal in restricted air supply and feeding the resulting CO into the carburettor and it then ignited in the combustion chamber to produce CO2 and to power the engine. The French in particular also used it to power tractors in this way.Wood burners do log quite a few miles each year though.
