I assume this gent has been mentioned already, but let's have a little Moore (see what I did there )

Anyhoo, a solo from Parisienne Walkways starting with 'that note'.

Turn up the volume, close your eyes and just enjoy :okay:

A career that has seen him a band member of Frank Zappa, Talking Heads, David Bowie, King Crimson as well as his solo work

the incredible Adrian Belew.

Probably his most famous guitar solo.

Saw him with Bowie late 80s, epic stuff and he did a couple of his own tunes. Always like him on Mister Heartbreak by Laurie Anderson, ably supported by Bill Laswell and Nile Rodgers no less!

Steve Hackett's solo in Firth of Fifth. The solo here.

The full song here.

Try this version from the Genesis The Way We Walk Tour 1992. Daryl Stuermer on guitar and Chester Thompson playing one set of drums and Phil Collins the other. The solo starts after 10 mins 20 seconds into the video. I'm an old softie these days and still brings tears to my eyes. Not some mad thrash but just beautifully played music
