found some Smith & Locke steel braided looped cable 10mm x 3metre and plastic covered for £2.99 instead of £6.99 from screwfix so wife bought me 3 and they can be joined so now i can tether my trike to the stair rails as my trike lives under the stairs in the lobby outside my door of my ground floor flat and just take one with me with a padlock and leave the other 2 padlocked under stairs.

They also appear to have some anchor deals too:

How secure is your lobby as 10mm cable will slow someone determined down for about 3 seconds if you are lucky?

not many folk see under the stairs and besides there are only 2 flats per floor giving a total of 6 flats on 3 floors and we all know each other aswell also there is a security door to enter building plus i have 2 alarm locks i am fitting when it goes under stairs and they are very loud. Also there are security cameras in the courtyard

I can see the worth in having something like this to help secure a low-value bike where the only thing available to lock it to is too large in diameter to be able to use a conventional chain. It's a deterrent to opportunists, nothing more.

Kettering ain't got to London levels of criminality, yet. Anyway, it sounds like the cable is just to slow them down enough to let someone react to an alarm, which seems fair enough. If you don't like a bargain, you don't have to buy it.

I bought 3 Muddyfox cycling tops today from Sports Direct. Got two for £18 and the third for £6. Absolute bargain. Pleased as punch. ^_^

Quick note if anyone is buying from this shop though, they don’t give refunds (unless faulty), only exchange or credit note. Plus click and collect costs the same as home delivery (£5). Don’t get caught out. I learnt this from experience about a year ago.

Whenever I've used their click and collect, the receipt acts as a refund of the fiver delivery charge, by way of a £5 voucher printed on it, and with an 18month expiry date too. Have you been throwing yours away??

I'd be more inclined to go for this one:

https://www.tredz.co.uk/.OnGuard-Pitbull-DT-Shackle-U-Lock-Plus-Cable-Gold-Sold-Secure_61144.htm

I have a granit plus as my main lock and this as a secondary. don't use it outdoors, so can't vouch for it's weatherproofness.

I have this lock and never any problems so far.

I've got that one too, solid enough for me and satisfies insurance policy. Good quality keys as well.

Got mine from Tredz too, good price.

Never done click and collect with them as it should be a free service and I shouldn’t be tied to them with a £5 credit voucher.

75p each! These small power banks are excellent for charging mobile phones/garmin etc, small enough to take with you on a bike.
Use code PAT75 for discount. I’ve just bought 4 for £2.99 with free delivery.

Thanks for the tip @Spiderweb.

Thought I had misread this but no. Just ordered four, but have to collect instead of getting delivered. No problem as there is a branch near work.

Cracking saving.

£4.99 each now. A mistake perhaps.
