Anybody know what the difference is between a PS double and a FB/QS triple shifter in terms of cable pull?
Basically I want to know if I can use an 11sp PS double shifter with a 10sp FB triple front mech to shift an 11sp chain between the two inner rings of a 10sp triple chainset.
Having been let down by not one but two dead Lezyne lights while cycling home last night - although they were charged when they went in the bag a week ago, one lasted about 10 minutes, the other wouldn't produce any light, I'm probably in the market for a new front light.
Needs to be USB...

I have a tadpole trike and need to make a pair of machong front wheels.
I have everything except a matching Hope Pro 2 Evo hub in black.
Need 20mm and 32 holes no need for end caps and not bothered if the bearings are duff. Need to machine the hubs to fit my KMX trike.
Thanks
Andy

I have a 2009 Trice T and I would really like to upgrade to front suspension. I am a capable bicycle mechanic , but this is new territory and given the cost of the parts, I would welcome any support from anyone that has successfully completed this?
A cyclist has been charged following a fatal collision with a pedestrian.
Details are scant, but it appears Charlie Alliston hit Kim Briggs as she used a pedestrian crossing in Old Street, central London.
Ms Briggs died 'about a week later' in hospital.

On the inside of the front derailleur cage, frame side, there’s a little plastic pad - the bit that rubs against the chain to push it sideways when you’re changing up.
it clips into the metal derailleur cage with some little plastic lugs. On mine, one of these lugs is broken.
Can you replace...
I had a cunning plan. My 'road' bike has a tightly spaced cassette so I can fine tune the gears easily (plus it was in the parts box ... ) and a front triple so I can use it as three 'blocks' if you like - one for hilly bits, one for flat bits, and one for downhill bits.
Unfortunately it's a...
I bought a replacement front lamp for my Brompton about 18 months ago. It runs off the hub dynamo While it is much brighter than the lamps I used before, it annoyingly interferes with the front pannier. The lamp is basically too big. Can anyone recommend another lamp, preferably with measurements?
Now the nights are drawing in* the best bike will be getting a dynohub wheel built by DCR Wheels. SONdelux since you ask.
What does the hive mind say is the best dyno front light and why?
*you read it here first folks.
I have a front carrier which came with a used bike I bought. This is drilled to fit on a solid axle. I wish to fit it to another bike which has a QR with a hollow axle which does not protrude beyond the forks. With some spacers I could fit it to the bottom mudguard stay mounts which are brazed...
I read this article last night, and something about attaching a motor to a bolt dropout, via quickly release seemed a bit risky. Is that perfectly fine?
I hesitate to post this as it's such a minor thing, but I've picked up many minor tips over the years and this may be useful for some.
The original plastic bit that covers the left hand front wheel nut on a Brompton (left in photo below) and offers some protection against bashing the chainstay...
Very reliable. Been used for the last 2 years, but very sparingly as this was always a back-up light anyway. USB chargeable and comes with handlebar attachment.
3 modes - claimed run times are 4.5hr @250lm, 2.5hr@500lm, 25hr flashing
Open to offers.
Cheers.
I am 99.9% sure that I will be ok, but I just wanted to check with you all.
I have a ropey front Shimano LX trigger shifter on my old Trek that I use as a commuter. It is a triple with 8 speed cassette. I need to replace the shifter and have found the following...
Apologies.
Not that technical.
I understand that there is a difference in pull on the rear between Shimano 9 and 10 speed.
One of several reasons why I am never likely to go beyond 9.
But would a front flat bar shifter for a triple in a 3 x 10 set-up work OK as a front shifter on a 3x9?
Hi all, as per the title I have a very light patch of surface rust showing on the stanchions of a mtb fork. What would be the best way to go about removal? I assume I don't want much abrasion so as not to cause scratches.
I've decided to give these a go

On a Caadx 22 Rival, swopped the wheels to a pair with road tyres. New SRAM 11 spd cassette, same as original. All is fine on original wheels. Front mech will not shift up to big ring on front. Any ideas, please, why this would happen, please?
Anyone know how to remove the end caps on the front hub of a Specialised wheel? The wheel is on a 2016 Specialised Stumpjumper 650. From what I read they are supposed to pull off, but I have tried with pliers and the things wont even budge slightly.
I successfully replaced the front brake cable on my road bike last night. However when I rode it this morning, I discovered that the gears weren't changing very well. The gears took a while to change after the lever was pulled and they were jumping a bit as well. The gear change lever was also...
im doing LEJOG in 5 weeks. I was going to just have rear panniers and my bar bag. Riding tonight someone said it would be better to split the load and have some weight on the front. So my question is, is it better to have front and rear panniers or just rear? I have a small light weight tent...
Thought I'd post these up here as not a huge deal of interest locally.
