I have a confession to make....l have never owned or worn a pair of road bike cycling shoes.
I am thinking about getting a pair but l just wonder if there would be any great advantage when riding "ye old "steel machines, over my normal beaten up trainers ? Any views or advice would be much...
So I've been using Shimano SPD's for 9 years. I have a fairly chunky commute - 40 miles a day (return) through London so I'm in and out of the pedals at traffic lights alot. It's also occsasionally useful to be able to walk around in my cycling shoes if I go out after work hence why I ride in...

I'm thinking of changing the flat standard pedals on my bike, to ones where I could wear a cycling shoe and clip in on one side, with the other side flat so I could still use normal shoes. I've seen a few comments on the pros and cons here, but I'm not clear on the terminology and could do with...

i use shimano spd pedals with shimano mtb shoes. Lately I have experienced pain in my toes even though the shoes seem to fit me well. I have to get off the bike and walk a little to get the feeling back. I have the cleats positioned under the ball of my foot. Can someone recommend a good mtb...
A pair of old, but hardly used, Specialized shoes for three bolt road cleats. Size 41, but they're a narrow fit. Yours for the cost of postage, say £3 (or free if you can collect them from the Southwark tube area on Wednesdays!).
I currently use a pair of DCShoes trainers that are pretty rigid, yet light. Seems to work OK, but is there anything more specialised? Not interested in system pedals for the forseeable future, so this is pure' what's out there?'

I am struggling still to get shoes that fit,
Latest pair cost £60 from decathlon , expensive for me and they felt fine instore but when riding my toes still have not got enough room .

At risk of setting myself up as Moron of the Month, I recently got these shoes used but literally as new. For some reason, they have a factory made hole in the soles at the end of the sole, right beneath the toe. Normally I am quite careful with weather forecasts but today I was caught out...
Since moving to Edinburgh I've been commuting on my Brompton with it's standard pedals. I wish to keep with the original pedals but need dome shoes with a more rigid sole than the trainers I have been using to date. Something with an element of weatherproofing would be nice too.
Any suggestions...

In the market for some clipless MTB shoes for commuting. Been looking and trying on quite a few pairs and I am finding a lot of the MTB shoes, like the Shimano M089 for example, have very thin tongues, to the point that the shoes around the tongue area is digging into my foot when it is at...
I have bought these shoes off eBay but unfortunately they are a little too tight for me. They are northwave shockwave srs spd/SPD-SL shoes with 'carbon reinforcement'.
They are almost new, worn one so very little signs of use. Does not come with Look keo cleats.
Would say they are more like a...
